Certification of commercial vehicles is a procedure that confirms the compliance of vehicles with safety and environmental requirements set out in the technical regulations of the Customs Union. Without a certificate of conformity, commercial vehicles cannot be registered or operated on public roads. Certification includes technical inspection, testing, and verification of vehicle documents. To obtain the certificate, the owner’s passport, vehicle passport, ownership documents, an environmental class certificate, and a copy of the OTTS or SBKTS (depending on the vehicle import purpose) must be provided.
